Haulotte believes the powered access market in China is embryonic but has scope for growth.

Among other equipment, Haulotte will be exhibiting a number of machines made in its Chinese factory at the BICES show in Beijing in November.

Haulotte opened the factory in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province at the end of the second quarter this year. Its aim is to have a manufacturing facility that is strategically located and well established to be close to the Asian market demand.

Haulotte said, "Despite the current economical turmoil, Haulotte Group continues to follow its key strategies to sell and deliver its products & services worldwide. China, and more widely Asia, is a great potential market for people and material lifting equipment."

The new manufacturing plant is in addition to the sales and service operation which Haulotte opened in China in 2006, Haulotte Trading (Shanghai) co Ltd.
