Comansa launches 24 tonne version
02 December 2009
Tower crane manufacturer Linden Comansa has launched a new version of its flat top 21 LC 550. The new 24 tonne capacity flat top joins the 12 and 18 tonne capacity versions.
This addition comes as a result of advances achieved with the development of the manufacturer's highest capacity offering, the 48 tonne capacity 21 LC 750, which is part of the LC2100 Series.
Both cranes share the same double-trolley system, composed of one rear trolley/hook and one front trolley/hook. Both can work separately or together, depending on the load requirements. Change of reeving is automatic.
The 21 LC 550 24 t has an 80 m reach, and a freestanding height of 86.5 m. The maximum jib-end load is 3.25 tonnes. It has a 65 kW hoisting system, and the hoisting drum can hold 650 m of cable. A 110 kW hoist mechanism is available as an option, with drums for 650 m or 1,450 m of cable.
In addition, Linden Comansa has produced an adaptation kit to upgrade a 21 LC 550 18 t that is already on the market to a 21 LC 550 24 t. "This transformation will be easy, and cost effective for those owners who already have the 18 tonne version," says a company spokesman.
