Bremen, Germany-based heavy lift shipping company Combi Lift has opened the subsidiary Combi Lift America in the USA oil and gas hub of Houston, Texas.

The move to further expand its presence on the North America heavy lift and project cargo markets comes after Combi Lift Asia was founded in 2015.

Heiko Felderhoff, CEO at Combi Lift said, “Having built up long-standing and reliable business relations in this important region over the years, the opening of Combi Lift America is just the logical next step. With Eric Schmid, we were able to convince an experienced industry professional to further develop Combi Lift America as vice president from our new Houston office.”

Schmid added, “Since the start of relevant Texan oil production around 1900, Houston has become the Mecca of the oil and gas industry. The recent boom in USA oil production even enhanced the significance of the USA markets on a worldwide scale. Naturally, this entails a high degree of transportation and transport engineering needs in terms of heavy cargo.”
