Access specialist CTE and its Chinese affiliate, Handler, plan to launch "soon" a 29 m working height access platform on a 10 t chassis in the Chinese market. The new machine will have a CTE telescoping and articulating boom, with jib, mounted on a locally-produced carrier.

The market innovation, said CTE, follows Handler's import of approximately 100 of the Italian company's machines - under the brands Zed, Bizzocchi, and Traccess - in 2008. CTE said those 100 machines are approximately 20% of the Chinese market of approximately 1500 truck-mounted access platforms.

The relationship between CTE and Handler, which has it headquarters in Xuzhou and approximately 300 employees, began in 2005. It was once part of the XCMG industrial group and its stock became publicly listed in April 2009.
