CTE's Z21 articulated boom goes into production

The Z21 20 m, articulated platform is now in production at CTE's Rovereto plant in Italy. The company believes it has combined a range of features to create a versatile, user-friendly, reliable and safe machine.

The design of the double pantograph, telescopic arm and the independent jib aim to give the user access to a very large work area. The 6-way proportional controls allow the operator to carry out more than one manoeuvre at a time over the 3600 rotation. The double pantograph connected to the jib provides an 9.2 m outreach giving access to otherwise inaccessible areas.

The pipes and pistons have been located inside the arms to protect them from damage and the barsket is made from a composite material for good shock resistance and electrical isolation.

CTE said that is proud of its Z 21 machine and that it has been able, as promised, to bring it to the market within the first half of 2008.
