Customer care service new from Kalmar

03 July 2013

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has launched Kalmar Care, a care service to help with productivity and cost efficiency for customers' operations.

The new service includes four contract types standardised globally and across all customer segments, the company said. The contracts include support on servicing, various maintenance needs and management solutions.

Thomas Koskimaa, Kalmar Services senior vice president, said, "We recognise that in major industrial and terminal operations, every second is critical. Any break in the chain can have significant cost consequences. Maintenance services have been an essential part of Kalmar's business already for a long time but we now offer a clearly defined range of servicing options so that customers can keep their business on the move exactly on their terms and with better cost predictability."

Kimmo Kallioniemi, vice president, service operations at Kalmar, added, "Kalmar Care can be integrated into any size of business and any brand or type of equipment, based exactly on the level of support required. Access to this superior support allows a flexible business model, reduces tied up capital and will increase overall productivity through greater equipment availability."

Kalmar Care was introduced at the TOC Europe 2013 exhibition in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which ran from 25 to 27 June 2013.
