EBM high reach at work in Lyon, France

22 August 2011

French contractor EBN, part of the Vinci Group, is working in Lyon, where it is demolishing a six storey structure in the La Villette district of the city.

The company is using a Hitachi ZX350LC-3 fitted with a 21 m (69 ft) high reach boom that can be quickly changed over for a standard digging arm. Although pictured in daylight, the bulk of the demolition has to be carried out at night because of the proximity of heavy road and tram traffic to the site.

EDM specialises in public works, mainly in the roads and utilities sectors, providing maintenance, restructuring and expansion services.
