Eight rough terrain Manitous for Instant

05 September 2016

Instant Access has ordered eight Manitou 160ATJ + articulating booms for use in major Sydney, Australia infrastructure projects.

The high capacity 400kg capacity machine can lift three operators in the basket and has a working height of 16.25m (45ft) – the only machine with this combination, says the manufacturer. It also has an 8.95m outreach and weighs 8.1 tonnes. The company added that its rough terrain capabilities and rigidity made it suitable for infrastructure projects.

Richard Green, general manager of the company’s Access Hire Division, added: “The Manitou 160ATJ is ideally suited to these major infrastructure projects and being able to supply a unique product like this to our clients is very exciting.”

Stephen Fraser, CEO of Instant Access, said, “As a specialist access solutions provider, a key part of our growth strategy is to add complementary products to our EWP range and we see this as a great opportunity to partner with Manitou on this key infrastructure project.”
