Elliott Equipment hits 'high note' with new AWP

Elliott Equipment Company used ConExpo to launch two new products; a 210-foot aerial work platform and a 45-ton boom truck.

"Each of our new products can lift people and handle materials," said Jim Glazer, president of Elliott Equipment Company.

The E160 E-Line material handling aerial work platform features a 210-foot working height, material handling capabilities and a seated rotating control station mounted on a commercial truck or track vehicle carrier.

The unit was designed to meet the needs of utility and construction users.

"One of the primary focuses of the E160 design is to eliminate the ANSI B30.5 'test pick' requirement when using a crane with a basket," Glazer said. "By designing an ANSI A92.2-compliant product, the test pick requirement is eliminated."

The E160 hits 210 feet by utilizing a a 32 to 55-foot telescopic jib stored on the side of the 160-foot telescopic 5-section boom. The aerial portion of the unit is controlled either from the lower seated control station or from within the platform. The 1,200-pound capacity basket is detachable and meaasures 34 inches by 72 inches.

For material handling needs, the E160 includes a 15,000-pound capacity main winch with corrosion-proof synthetic rope for reduced weight.

The E160 can be mounted on a conventional truck or a track carrier.

Elliott also used ConExpo to show its new 45-ton boom truck that features a 142-foot five section telescopic main boom on a permit-free, 50-state federal bridge legal truck chassis.

The 45142 boom truck is designed to mount on a five-axle chassis with a total overall weight of 65,800 pounds including a 32 to 55 foot two-section telescopic jib and detachable two-person work basket.

The 45142 boom truck can utilize Elliott's OSHA-compliant hydraulic yoke work platform for personnel working uses, as well.
