The ERA’s Technical Committee first arranged such meetings at Bauma, Germany, in 2016, and have since decided to hold two per year.

The meetings will provide more flexibility and will allow OEMs to the opportunity to present their ideas.

This year, the first meeting took place on 28 March, where seven manufacturers were invited to participate. The second meeting took place on 4 October, with 12 OEMs present, in Prague, Czech Republic.

The topics proposed by rental companies to the OEMs were tie downs and lifting points, as well as maintenance and preventive maintenance, telematics solutions, technical training and education, and innovation.

The Technical Committee will meet in January to discuss the topics to be covered at the next face-to-face meetings in April, at Intermat.

If you are a member of the ERA and are interested in joining the Technical Committee and the face-to-face meetings, please do not hesitate to contact the ERA secretariat, at era@erarental.org
