Ermator acquires Pullman-Holt

26 June 2013

Sweden-headquartered manufacturer Pullman Ermator has acquired Pullman-Holt in the US, including all models of dust and wet vacuums and HEPA vacuums, and the rights to the trademark name Pullman-Holt and PHC.com.

The manufacturer of dust collectors, air cleaners and wet vacuums will move its US headquarters into the 20,000 m2 Pullman-Holt building complex in Tampa, Florida, in September.

“This will help us to expand our presence in the market, not least because the product range from Pullman-Holt is well known and popular in the industry,” said Fredrik Åkermark, sales director for Ermator US.

Pullman-Holt began operations 85 years ago and is now one of the leading manufacturers in the US of dust and vacuum cleaners with HEPA filters. For the last nine years the company was owned and controlled by Ron Underwood, who also owns the Canadian companies Michaels Equipment, Ltd. and Advantage Maintenance Products Ltd.

“We will invest in the brand Pullman-Holt with continued research and development and will also add several new products to the range,” pledged Torbjörn Bengtsson, owner of Pullman Ermator. “Ermator will also work with Pullman-Holt's brand to increase visibility through the efforts of our sales reps to inform and educate retailers and end users.”
