Euro Auctions largest ever MEWP sale

Euro Auctions is set to offer its largest collection of MEWPs at its sales arena in Leeds, UK next week, totalling more than 450 units.

The 3 July – 3 August sale will include 58 high specification access platforms from UK rental company Aerial Platforms (APL). There will also be three Haulotte Compact 12DX rough terrain scissor lifts from the company going to Euro Auctions’ sale in Zaragoza, Spain on 27 August.

Jason Seddon, Group Managing Director at APL, commented, “APL are reducing the average age of its fleet to ensure our customers receive the latest technology in access platforms and telehandlers. We chose Euro Auctions to assist with this programme due to their global reach and understanding of the access and lifting sector. The auction process is very fast and efficient, enabling us to focus on the rental business and bringing new assets onto the fleet.”

The APL inventory for the Leeds sale will consist of 31 boom lifts from JLG, Manitou, Niftylift and Skyjack, 18 scissor lifts from Genie and JLG, and one JCB rough terrain forklift. They will include two units of the 26m working height H800AJ hybrid boom, six 530LRT double deck RT scissors, with 18 working height and 10 units of the16m 450AJ, as well as two Holland Lift HL190-E12s.

APL have a reputation for keeping equipment in excellent condition and working order, hence this consignment will be of high interest to the market. All machines have a high specification which should attract a lot of interest at this sale not just from the UK but from a global buying audience.”

Thre will be more than 800 machines in the lifting category at the auctions covering access platforms, telehandlers, forklifts and cranes.
