UK temporary access and events rental company Eve Trakway has acquired Anglia Traffic Management Group (ATM), a Cambridge-based renter of traffic management equipment and services.

The acquisition adds traffic control technology and three depots in Cambridge, Ashford (Kent) and Airdrie (Scotland) to Eve Trakway's existing business.

ATM's customers include major organisations like Morgan Est, Kier, Balfour Beatty, Transport Scotland and the Highways Agency. Its services cover motorway contraflow systems, rural and urban road schemes, event sign management, impact protection vehicles and traffic signals.

Rick Barnett, managing Director of Eve Trakway, said the acquisition took Trakway to another level; "being able to provide multiple disciplines from multiple locations makes us leaders in our field and an unrivalled option for customers.

"ATM caught our attention as we have continual demand to provide traffic management services. We also have an interest in companies which not only complement our existing portfolio of services, but that also match our health, safety and quality standards."

The ATM is the third acquisition that Eve Trakway has completed in the past nine months. Last Autumn is bought Fluid Event Interiors, a company that rents interior linings for temporary structures, venues and exhibitions, and in April this year it acquired temporary fencing and barrier company Vincehire.
