Ex-Aggreko executive Hendrik Jan Molenaar has joined Netherlands rental company Workx as its new chief executive officer. He replaces Tom Zorn, who passed away several months ago, IRN understands.

Mr Jan Molenaar, who is from the Netherlands, started at Workx at the start of January having left Aggreko in November last year. Mr Jan Molenaar first joined Aggreko in 1995 as general manager of its Middle East operation before becoming managing director of Aggreko's European business, a post he held for four years. He was latterly Aggreko's business development director.

IRN contacted Workx for comment but nobody was available at the time of going to press.

Workx is the rental business formerly known as the Jaston Group, founded by Arjan Jansen. The group has been consolidating the Netherlands rental market and is now one of the largest rental companies in the country, with over 50 depots.

The business was being led by Mr Jansen, but in the summer of 2008 he brought in the US rental executive Tom Zorn to run the company.
