Fast cutting

01 April 2009

Wacker's new 115 V electric-hydraulic concrete reinforcement steel (rebar) cutters are available in professional and economy versions. The RCP-12, 16, 20, 25, and 32 models cut rebar whose maximum diameter in mm is equal to their model numbers. The cutters weigh from 6.7 to 27 kg.

Cutting speeds, measured while cutting through 750 N/mm2 bar, are four to six seconds, depending on the model. The RCP-20 and 25 versions generate 1.4 kW of power, the most in the series, and feature an interchangeable head mechanism for bending, as well as cutting.

The RCE-16, 20, and 25 economy models cut rebar from 16 to 25 mm in maximum diameter at a maximum speed of five seconds. They weigh from 7.1 to 13.8 kg.
