Dave Murray, in construction and demolition for 42 years

He has worked for the State of Nevada for the past 25 years, in loss control, auditing, and workplace safety and health positions. Dave was born in Cleveland, and his great grandfather owned McDonald Construction, a large commercial-industrial general contractor based in Ohio and Florida.

Dave began his career in 1976 with Caterpillar in Peoria, Illinois. He worked for three Caterpillar dealers in the western USA before joining the State of Nevada as a loss control representative with the state’s workers compensation insurer in 1992.

Dave’s experience includes more than 20 years in construction and demolition as a product-market specialist and machine sales representative for Cat and its three dealers, and 25 years in construction and general industry safety and health. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.
