France Elévateur has upgraded its Topy 11 truck mounted platform with a range of new features.

The ultra-compact 11m working height lift was first launched in 1998 and has seen more than 2,000 units produced. The latest version offers optimised features, including safe access to basket, a storage box on a large aluminium deck, a new turret that incorporates the entire drive system and fully redesigned upper and lower control panels.

At 5.90m in length, the Topy 11 can easily be used in city centres or on rougher terrain, while its 2.7m height also allows it to pass under most bridges. In addition, the platform offers an outreach of 6m and a basket capacity of 120kg for one person.

The model can also be deployed quickly as it does not require outriggers, and can work on steep slopes. Maintenance is now easier thanks to the necessary components being centralised, which also makes it more reliable. A 650kg vehicle payload allows plenty of equipment to be placed in the storage boxes.

Mounted on a Ford Transit Trend 130 cv chassis, the lift will soon be available on a Mercedes and other trucks. The machine is hydraulically controlled and has an electric pump, powered by two batteries on the Ford option. Towing capacity is 2 tonnes, while standard equipment includes a fully opening basket, signalling devices, such as warning triangle, beacons and Class I chevrons and an engine on and off-switch in the basket.

A wide range of options are also available, including boom and turret insulation, electric emergency pump, auxiliary battery, tool boxes, reversing camera, toolbox in the basket and a flashing light under the basket, to name a few.
