French renters: ‘we are ready to re-open’

14 April 2020

DLR, the French association that represents the rental sector, said today it wanted to send a clear message that the “vast majority” of its members are ready for the re-opening of their depots and of construction sites.

It said operational procedures to minimise the risk of Covid-19 infection were in place, including social distancing measures and disinfection of machines.

DLR said its members were “impatiently awaiting the reopening of their customers’ sites. This is also, of course, the case for activities related to logistics, industry, ports, etc.

“Rental companies are already ready; they will be active partners in the resumption of business for their customers, as soon as they are needed.”

DLR said its rental commission had been meeting regularly through video conferencing to discuss the Covid-19 crisis.

The organisation said several documents were being prepared to help rental companies operate as safely as possible, including risk assessment documents (DUER), risk prevention plans and business continuity plans.

The DLR hass been providing its rental members with a steady stream of advice and guidance since the start of the crisis. Read more details here.
