Chinese hoist and tower crane manufacture GJJ opened its new factory on 29 March, 2013. The new factory is located in the Jiuyuan industry park, Baodi district, Tianjin, about 100 km southeast of Beijing.

The new factory is about 305,000 square metres and stands on a 200,000 square metre plot. Half of the facility has been completed, while the other half is still under construction and is set to be operational by the end of 2014.

The planned annual output from the factory will be 5000 hoists and 1000 tower cranes. Component suppliers Tianjin Tianming, which produces safety devices; Shanhai zhangjiang, an engine manufacturer; and Jiangsu Taicang Baoda, a supplier of gears, have also set up production in the facility, which the company says, will help with the supply chain.

GJJ’s head office is based in Guangzho, where it has two facilities. In addition, there is a crane manufacturing plant in Changsha and another factory in Xian. Turnover in 2012 was RMB1.35billion, incorporating sales of 4000 hoists and 300 cranes.
