Havator orders two massive Wumag platforms

10 April 2008

Finland's Havator Group has ordered two of Wumag's massive WT 1000 truck mounted platforms with maximum working heights of 102.5 m, mounted on five-axle Faun crane carriers. The order also includes a 53 m Wumag WT 530. Havator Group board chairman, Erkki Hanhirova (pictured), said the new lifts will “enable us to get straight inside steel constructions in a horizontal direction, which [dramatically reduces the costs of erecting] scaffolding. In addition, these machines function excellently, for example, in maintenance work of wind turbines and high city locations where traffic and the street environment set their own limits and challenges.” Havator owns 400 aerial platforms, as well as cranes and heavy transport equipment.
