Hewden adds cranes to Core Fleet project
24 July 2014
UK-based rental company Hewden has extended its Core Fleet Guarantee project to include its three most request cranes.
Under the Core Fleet project, Hewden said it offered delivery within three days on its most popular products – including excavators, telehandlers, site dumpers, rollers, aerial platforms and site accommodation.
Now, the company said it would also offer the Terex AC35 all-terrain, a 40 t lifting capacity crane, together with the Terex AC50-1 with a 50 t lifting capacity, and the Terex AC80-2 all-terrain 80 t crane under this three-day delivery initiative.
In addition to the Terex models, other cranes will also be offered, including new Tadano machines.
Hewden said that if the cranes were not delivered on site within three days of ordering, it would credit the first three hours of rental back to the customer.
Marketing director Jeff Schofield said, “The Hewden Core Fleet has been a real hit with customers. It adds real value because the offer is clear and, critically, consistent.
“Customers get the kit they want, where they want it, on time, in full. Our planning software programmes and improved customer services has enabled an on-time fulfilment rate, to date of 96.4%.”
Indeed, in April this year, Hewden said that – in the almost 12 months since the launch of the guarantee – it had made 35145 core fleet deliveries.
It said its Core Fleet Guarantee was increasing utilisation and successfully generating more business with small and medium sized customers.
