Hire Convention praised from all sides

05 October 2015

The Hire Convention 2015 has been hailed a huge success with the organiser of the event, Hire Association Europe and Event Hire Association (HAE EHA) receiving positive feedback from delegates, exhibitors and speakers alike.

The convention, under the theme of “Navigating Your Future” took place at Holywell Park in Loughborough, UK, on 22 and 23 September.

With speakers including Jo Bamford, JCB’s managing director of global accounts, and Ramirent CEO Magnus Rosén, the event attracted nearly 400 delegates. It also featured the first Future Hirers workshop, an initiative backed by the Construction Industry Training Board to encourage more people in the 18-30 age group into the rental industry.

Among the delegates present was Speedy Hire supply chain director Andy Connor, who said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the Hire Convention and can only say that all aspects of it were well organised, the location was perfect and the atmosphere was relaxed so I had time to talk to all suppliers and attend some of the seminars.

“This was my first HAE event but it definitely won’t be my last and I will be recommending it to my colleagues as a truly worthwhile event to attend.”

Next year’s event will take place on 21 and 22 September, at the same venue.
