UK-based equipment rental company HSS Hire has announced a partnership with international contractor Multiplex Construction Europe that supports seriously ill young adults.

For its part in the partnership, HSS Hire offers the contractor a rebate scheme that enables it to accrue donations through the hiring of HSS Hire equipment. To date, the scheme has seen Multiplex  donate more than £18,000 to the Willow Foundation.

Founded in 199 by former Arsenal soccer player Bob Wilson and his wife Megs, the charity aims to provide beneficiaries and their loved ones with a break from the realities of their diagnosis and treatment for 16 to 40-year-olds living with a serious illness.

An additional donation of almost £40,000 to the charity is also planned for 2024.

According to the Willow Foundation, the partnership is the culmination of years of support from Multiplex, which has raised more than £500,000 for Willow through site fundraising initiatives, including golf days and football tournaments.

Jon Overman, chief revenue officer, HSS Hire, said, “We’re really pleased to be continuing to work collaboratively with Multiplex to support Willow. The work Willow do makes such a difference to seriously ill young people, and supporting that through our working relationship with Multiplex is just fantastic. We look forward to continuing this work and seeing the positive impact Willow make with the money raised.”

Maria Alexander, head of supporter fundraising, Willow, added, “We are thrilled to see Multiplex’s longstanding fundraising efforts reaching new heights with the support of HSS Hire. This partnership is a significant development in our mission to support more seriously ill young adults, and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on their lives”.
