Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe breaks ground on €30 m investment

Construction equipment and forklift supplier Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new headquarters in Tessenderlo, Belgium.

SG Rhee, chief operating officer of Hyundai Heavy Industries, and JC Jung, managing director of HHIE performed the ceremony watched by representatives of the Belgian government and the local community.

The €30 million complex, which comprises a 13000 sq m warehouse and 5400 sq m office building, as well as a training facility, event hall and showroom, is due to be completed by the end of next year.

“With this new facility we can double the capacity of our machine parts supply, welcome our customers and intensify the commercial and technical training of our dealer network,” said Mr JC Jung.

“It proves that HHIE is a dynamic and growing company.”
