Australian industrial services group, LCR Lindores, celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a party in Queensland where its new 350 tonne capacity Terex-Demag AC 350 telescopic wheeled mobile crane was unveiled. Brothers Peter, Greg and Edward Lindores founded the company, which has traditionally specialized in tower and mobile cranes. Recent restructuring included the appointment of Col Partington as CEO and the recruitment of other executives from outside the group. In addition to cranage the business now incorporates heavy haulage, access equipment, labour hire, fabrication and maintenance. The AC 350, with Sideways Super Lift (SSL), was christened Big Bill in honour of the brothers' father. Lindores said the crane can be roaded, with the boom in, in all Australian states and fits the company's “roaming cranes” philisophy. Spare counterweight is allocated to different depots to reduce costs when the crane travels.
