First picture of Hitachi-Sumitomo's new SCX800HD-2 crawler crane that will be launched at Intermat this month. The crane, designed for foundation and duty cycle work, has a lifting capacity of 80 tonnes and a maximum boom length of 54 m. Maximum boom and jib combination is 42.5 m plus 18 m. Line pull is 196kN (20 tonnes) and the crane is powered by a Stage III 212 kW Isuzu engine. For the latest news on the Intermat exhibition see the Stop press feature on page 18.
