Forty-seven members from eight countries outside the US gave SC&RA's 2006 Annual Conference a distinct international flavour. The international members came from Canada, England, Germany, France, Puerto Rico, Japan, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.Two European members presented a total of three entries in the Job of the Year Competition. Fagioli SPA, Milan, Italy, won in the Moving category for the 92 km transport of the Enrico Toti Submarine from Cremona River Port to the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan (IC September 2005, page 25).Klaus Scholpp, Alfred Scholpp GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany, made a presentation concerning his company's impressive work at moving all of the vehicles and other exhibits into the new Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. He also was one of six members elected to a three-year term on the SC&RA Board of Directors.Scholpp's presence on the Board should help the Association meet its goal of developing programmes that make SC&RA membership even more attractive for companies around the world.Today 46 nations are represented in SC&RA membership of just over 1,150 companies.
