Wyss served as Implenia CEO since 2018. He said he chose to step down from operational activities in order to focus on “existing and new mandates.”

Hans Ulrich Meister, chairman of Implenia’s board, said, “André Wyss has led Implenia through a profound transformation, and has repositioned the entire group strategically and operationally.”

Wyss’ successor, Vollmer, is currently the company’s head of its building division. Implenia said he’s been with the company since 2013 and is a member of the Implenia Executive Committee. The company said he holds a doctorate from the University of St. Gallen, where he worked as a senior consultant and currently lectures on construction and real estate management.

Vollmer’s replacement as the head of the buildings division will be named at a later date, Implenia said.
