Implenia reports ‘strong’ first-half financial performance

Swiss construction and infrastructure company Implenia has reported positive first-half results and says it is on course to achieve its 2023 targets.

The revenue for the first half of 2023 remained consistent with the previous year, reaching CHF 1,73 billion (€1.81 billion). However, when adjusting for currency effects, revenue rose to CHF 1.81 billion (€1.89 billion).

During this period, the company’s order book reached CHF 7.3 billion (€7.6 billion).

The company also reported a strong EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) of CHF 49.9 million (€52.2 million).

Implenia’s currency-adjusted revenue overtook the previous year’s first-half figures, and the company saw a significant increase in its order book.

Future-proofing

The company also successfully completion of the acquisition of Swiss real estate service provider Wincasa during this period and said it expects the move to contribute positively to its future growth.

Implenia’s CEO, André Wyss, said, “With our strategic portfolio mix, we once again achieved strong results in the first half of 2023.

“Following a successful transformation and the completion of the Wincasa acquisition, Implenia is excellently positioned for sustainable success.

“Currency-adjusted revenue is above previous year’s level, the order book has continued to grow and all divisions contributed positively to the result. Implenia is on track to achieve the targets set for 2023.”
