John A. Carpenter, 1963-2024

John A. Carpenter, age 60, passed peacefully on Sunday October 13, 2024. He was born in Houston, TX on December 21, 1963, to James A. Carpenter and Danielle R. Carpenter, who have proceeded him in death.

Carpenter attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. He served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy and is a veteran of the Gulf War. He met his wife while stationed in Norfolk, VA. Carpenter’s love of Texas and his large extended family brought them back to Houston to raise a family. He ended his long-standing career in the crane industry as a senior sales manager at Maeda America and was recognized as a subject matter expert in his field.

Carpenter was an avid hunter and fisherman and was happiest when outdoors and with his family. He made many lifelong friends throughout the years and loved sharing his interests in food, photography, football, music, movies and history.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Michele Carpenter; and their two children, J. Connor Carpenter (fiancée Colby Graff) and Colleen Carpenter. Carpenter is also survived by his brother, Scott Carpenter (wife Angela); sister, Dr. Anne Carpenter; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by many but will be remembered for his passion for living life to the fullest.
