Industry veteran joins National Trench Safety

National Trench Safety, LLC (NTS), a Houston, USA-based company specialising in the of trench and traffic safety equipment, engineering and training has appointed Wendell Wood, a veteran of the industry, to its customer training division.

“We’re very pleased to be adding Wendell to the NTS team to further the development and reach of our training programmes,” said Ron Chilton, president of NTS.

Wendell Wood is one of the most experienced and well-known individuals within the trench safety industry. His career in the industry stretches over three decades with a breadth of experience including product sales specialist, product application specialist, distribution manager and safety trainer.

In addition to his significant product experience, Mr Wood has been involved and worked with the Excavation Safety Standard since the early 1980s, having conducted training programmes in association with Dr Jack Mickle, one of the primary authors of the standard. In addition to his extensive training and product background, Wendell has also served as an expert representative before congressional hearings on the Excavation Safety Standard.

Since NTS’ inception the company has placed a premium on being able to offer its customers a comprehensive, high quality training programme. With the addition of Mr Wood, along with the continued growth of NTS’ training department under director of training Mario Vasquez, NTS continues to position itself as the leader in trench and traffic safety training.
