IRC 2018: spotlight on forklift rental opportunities

29 October 2018

The general manager of one of China’s largest industrial forklift rental businesses will use the International Rental Conference (IRC) to give an overview of the Chinese forklift market and highlight rental opportunities in the sector.

Roy Xu, General Manager of JHL Rental in Shanghai, a 50/50 joint venture between Jungheinrich and Anhui HELI, told IRN; “The rental market for industrial forklifts is increasing very fast. If more experienced rental companies enter the market it will help the industry develop in a healthy way.

“In addition, every rental company has its own product or industry focus. Cooperating with rental specialists like forklift renters can be a good way for a rental business to increase its product range and market coverage, without losing its focus.”

Mr Xu will discuss the size of the market, its structure, and business opportunities and challenges. It will be the first presentation at IRC dedicated to industrial forklifts.

JHL Rental, which was formed in 2016, has a fleet of 6,600 units and plans to expand that dramatically over the coming decade.
