Italian truck mount specialist, Multitel Pagliero has cooperated with the spider manufacturer Palazzani Industrie to design and manufacture a 17 m working height tracked spider platform. The articulated boom is made by Multitel and the tracked carriage by Palazzani.

Called the SMX 170 by Multitel the machine has a maximum outreach of 7.85 m, a 360deg turret rotation and a +/-60deg cage rotation. The safe working load is 200 kg and the machine weighs 2000 kg.

erry Kist Multitel's export manager said " We have sold eleven machines since they were bought to the stand this week.... We hope to be selling 50 machines a year." Mr Kist anticipated that in the future Multitel might be able to make the complete machine.
