Jumbo completes wind farm work

Heavy lift shipping and offshore transportation and installation contractor Jumbo has completed its project for the Arkona offshore wind farm – which is being developed by a partnership between E.On and Statoil.

The entire project involves the construction of a 385 MW offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.

Jumbo was commissioned by Dutch offshore contractor Van Oord to install 60 transition pieces. To complete the job Jumbo used its MV Fairplayer – a DP2 heavy lift crane vessel.
