Kiloutou will progressively re-open almost half of its 440 rental locations in France over the coming weeks and has put in place protocals for safe operation. It said it was ready to support its customers as they resumed work.
The company started opening locations in early April and by today there should be 20 in operation, with a further 48 by 24 April. The company has 440 locations in France, and it said between 150 and 200 would be re-opened by 8 May.
The company has established measures to protect its employees and customers, including:
- Compulsory reservation by phone;
- ‘Contactless’ pick-ups and returns under ‘drive-through’ arrangements at depot car parks;
- ‘Contactless’ deliveries and pick-ups on construction sites;
- Double cleaning of equipment with a disinfectant, before machines are delivered and on return.
Kiloutou closed all of its branches in France following the lockdown in March. During the period of suspension, the company prepared a national recovery plan to support its customers, particularly in the construction industry.
Olivier Colleau, Executive Chairman of Kiloutou, said; ““We are experiencing an unprecedented crisis worldwide. The entire management team has carefully monitored the situation with a priority objective: to protect the safety of our team members and our clients.
“This responsibility means we are committed to this recovery plan, created with the Kiloutou team members, and in accordance with the recommendations of official bodies, to safely support our professional clients in the gradual recovery of their activities.
“I want to assure them of our will and commitment to continue to build a relationship of trust with them. This relationship finds deeper meaning when, together, we face exceptional circumstances such as those we have today.”
