KTU orders K50 cranes from MacGregor

17 March 2014

Batam-based PT Karya Tekhnik Utama (KTU), in Indonesia, has ordered two MacGregor K5036-4HD heavy-duty grab cranes.

The cranes have a safe working load (SWL) of 50 tonnes and will be installed on a 68 metre floating crane barge.

Anders Berencsy, MacGregor sales manager for transloading cranes, said, “Indonesia has one of the world's fastest growing bulk export industries, and this order further increases our presence in this significant market. The floating barge will be used to showcase the yard's capabilities and the cranes will be an important part of this.”

The cranes will be delivered in November 2014.
