Kynningsrud Kran goes for 600 tonner

The crane division of the Kynningsrud group, headquartered in Norway, has ordered a 600 tonne crawler crane. The Terex-Demag CC 2800-1 will primarily operate in the north European wind turbine erection sector and other energy related markets. Commenting on the order, Harald Kynningsrud, group CEO, said “We have been working on this investment for a long time, and the time is right for a stronger input to the market.”

At €5 million (US$6 million) the new crane, to be delivered in August, is Kynningsrud Kran's largest single investment, the company said. Including this latest order Kynningsrud has invested €20 million ($24 million) in the last two years. Turnover for the crane division this year is forecast at €35 million ($42 million). Group turnover, including the crane rental, precast concrete and foundations divisions in Norway and Sweden is forecast at €85 million ($102 million) for 2006.
