GERMANY: UK rental company Lavendon is to buy German access rental company Gardemann for € 46 million (US$ 35 million) in cash and new shares, subject to shareholder approval. Lavendon already owns the Zooom rental business in Germany. Lavendon said the acquisition would boost its market share in Germany from 11% to 18%, adding Gardemann’s 1700 platform fleet to the 2700 machines operated by Zooom.
