Lifting and transport events to look forward to in 2015

For 2015 there will once again be a full programme of events from International Cranes and Specialized Transport and its publisher KHL Group.

First of all, on 23 April, during the Intermat exhibition in Paris, France, will be the ESTA Awards of Excellence evening, organised by KHL Group on behalf of the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes. It brings together the leading crane and heavy transport industry professionals in Europe.

The annual ESTA Awards of Excellence has developed into the most prestigious European event for all ESTA members, affiliated companies, end users and manufacturers working in heavy haulage, transport and the lifting industry. Cranes covered include wheeled mobiles, crawlers, knuckle boom loader cranes, other truck cranes and truck mounted access platforms.

The annual ESTA Users Night Awards evening in 2015 will be at the Hilton Charles De Gaulle. As in previous years, the jury’s results for the ESTA Awards will be announced and the awards presented to the winners in the various categories. ESTA may also present the Gino Koster Award as a lifetime achievement award to a person who has dedicated significant time and effort to the industry and achieved remarkable results that have helped the industry to grow and develop.

There will be opportunities to meet and network with fellow professionals throughout the evening and after the dinner. The evening includes a hosted drinks reception.

Next in the calendar is International Tower Cranes (ITC). The fourth ITC conference will be held in London, UK, on 27 and 28 May 2015. The unique event dedicated to one crane type will include presentations on tower crane innovations, rental trends, project reports, safety issues and legislation updates.

It will be held at the Millennium Gloucester hotel in Kensington, starting with a networking reception on the evening of 27 May followed by a full-day conference programme on the 28th. ITC was most recently held in Berlin in November 2013, attracting almost 150 delegates from 23 countries worldwide.

Rounding out the year will be the World Crane and Transport Summit, once again back in Amsterdam, Netherlands. On 4 and 5 November WCTS returns to the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in central Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The 2014 WCTS moved to the USA for the first time. This unique event brings together key stakeholders in the global lifting and heavy transport industry.

More than 260 people attended the fourth World Crane and Transport Summit (WCTS) in Florida, USA, on 12 and 13 November 2014, including leading crane and transport professionals, from around the world. The summit was fully supported by top crane associations SC&RA, ESTA, Sindipesa and CICA, together with many of their members. Supporters and sponsors also included leading crane and specialized transport equipment manufacturers, suppliers of equipment and services and other industry organisations.
