In a further move to keep its fleet in optimum condition, UK-based AFI has made a major investment in a new paint shop.

The £280,000 (US$343,919) investment has enabled AFI to construct an additional building containing a new state-of-the-art blasting booth to help strip machines before painting. This has doubled throughput, enabling AFI to paint up to 500 machines per year.

The company has also added a second painting booth by converting its previous blasting room.

AFI director Nick Higgins said, “We already have one of the youngest hire fleets in the industry, with our average machine age being only 4.5 years, and this additional paint shop investment will further ensure that our machines are in the best possible condition.”
