Major JLG order from Eazi
10 August 2017
Eazi Access, JLG’s distributor for Southern Africa, recently invested in a range of JLG machinery for its access fleet and sales division.
The deal was for 178 JLG units valued at $9m, $2.7m more than it’s previous order. The deal included the new 1500AJP, the world’s tallest articulating boom lift with a working height of 48.15m, which is the first of its kind in Africa.
Eazi Access is Africa’s market leader in the rental, sales, servicing and training of work-at-height and material handling solutions, including access platforms, boom lifts, scissor lifts, vertical personnel lifts, telehandlers, rotational telehandlers, mini cranes and accessories. The company offers the largest and most diverse fleet of boom lifts, scissor lifts, telehandlers and vertical personnel lifts on the continent.
Brett Fleming, CEO of the Eazi Group, comments “We are commited to making a difference to our customers lives through continual product innovation which offers work-at-height and material handling solutions, enabling efficiencies, cost savings, productivity improvements and, above all, high standards of safety. Investments into new products like the 1500AJP will complement our fleet, ensuring we remain market leading”.
The 1500AJP – initially launched at Bauma in 2016 – has the QuikStik feature enabling the lift to move from the ground to maximum platform height in three minutes, then back to ground level in the same amount of time.
Jonathan Dawson, JLG’s director of sales EMEA commented, “It is great for JLG to have a partner like Eazi making bold strides and investments not only in the renewal of their fleet but also driving growth and taking a leadership position in the Southern African market. The units will be delivered to South Africa in a staged approach with the first shipment arriving in July 2017.“
