UK rental firm Hewden has strengthened its management team with two new appointments.

Antony Steele joins the company as head of national account sales executives (NASEs). The NASE team consists of 17 graduates, whose job is to build relationships with local site managers and often acts as the first point of contact for equipment requirements.

Having started his career as a graduate trainee at Lex Commercials / DAF Trucks, Mr. Steele brings to the role a wealth of experience, most recently gained at Toyota’s Materials Handling Division, where he held the role of commercial manager.

With 16 years of experience in the industry, Stephen Smith joins the company as head of industrial sales.

Previously general manager at Severn Unival Ltd, Mr. Smith’s new rolle will see him supporting Hewden’s existing client base in the refining, petrochemical and heavy manufacturing industries, whilst looking for new opportunities in other sectors.

Mr. Smith will head up a team of 11, including three NASEs who will support the industrial account managers in providing the necessary planning, resourcing and safety requirements.
