German rental company Mateco was recently brought in to assist facility management company RGM with cleaning the glass facade of Santander's head office in Monchengladbach.

Mateco provided the access equipment to enable the RGM team to clean the glass fascia of the building, including an internal courtyard.

RGM cleans the building twice a year, as well as carrying out maintenance work. Mateco supplied its XTG 230 D/E KE electro-hydraulic platform to enable RGM to scale the building. The crawler-mounted platform was used to reach heights of 23m, while its lateral range of 11.2m helped the team navigate round obstacles such as sculptures and fountains.

The Santander head office clean took one week to complete.
