As a result, the company believes it now has one of the most up-to-date lines of power generation machinery on the market. Rental companies seeking to expand their supply of power generation products can either buy brand new products from MHM or choose from the company’s good quality used ones.

Addressing the issue of carbon emissions, MHM has designed and built a new hybrid site generator that will feature on the innovation trail at this year’s Executive Hire Show in Coventry, UK. The MGTP 10,000 Solar Hybrid-Gen provides 10kVA power through a combination of solar and battery power, with back-up from a small diesel engine. It has all the attributes of a standard site genset with the exception that it runs almost exclusively from non-fossil fuels.

It features a fully adjustable roof-mounted, high-efficiency solar panel that provides power to the sealed lead acid batteries in all UK weather conditions, and the fully bunded base guards against accidental spillage of contaminants.

Beyond this, the company’s Rental Ready range of generators comprises eight models that offer between 16 and 100kVA, single- and three-phase, all with a full socket panel. The 16, 20 and 25kVA sets have a switchless multi-voltage facility providing 110, 240 and 415V outputs.

Powered by the latest Kubota, Yanmar and Iveco engines, the gensets are Stage 3A compliant and power is delivered via a Linz alternator.

In co-operation with Italian partners, MHM has also developed a line of Ultra-Silent generators built specifically for the events industry. They emit 55dBA at 7m and have compact dimensions.

MHM currently operates from two locations – MHM West in South Wales and MHM North in Coatbridge, Scotland – but a London depot, MHM South, is also being developed.
