NES Rentals launches real-time delivery notice
13 December 2011
NES Rentals has introduced a new delivery notification system for customers using its aerial equipment rental services. The new system keeps customers informed of equipment delivery in real time, via email and the NES online portal.
The notification system follows recent investment in handheld wireless scanners, now carried by all NES drivers. Once a piece of equipment is delivered to a site the driver scans the barcode. This information is then relayed back to NES and an email notification is sent on to the customer.
Customers can also access information on the equipment's condition and the terms of the rental contract through the NES portal.
According to Andrew Studdert, chairman and chief executive officer of US-based NES Rentals, the new system will enable customers to maximise on rental time. "Often equipment is ordered through an office off-site or by someone who is travelling among multiple sites. By notifying in real-time when equipment arrives at a job site we help our customers contain costs and curb down time," he explained.
