The 18 tonne PC160LC-8 is the latest dash 8 to join Komatsu’s tracked excavator line-up

Komatsu has introduced the latest version of its 18 tonne tracked excavator, the PC160LC-8, which is available in a range of configurations, with a number of different arm lengths, two styles of boom and in a special low ground pressure variant.

Fitted with Komatsu's KOMTRAX satellite based management and monitoring system as standard, the new machine also features low in-cab noise levels - 68dB(A) - and a number of standard features that enhance operator comfort and safety, including automatic adjustable climate control and heated air suspension seat,

The new machine also features an additional hydraulic circuit with sliding proportional thumb switch control and a quick coupler circuit. Operators can choose from five main working modes to optimise the performance of the machine to the application, from Economy mode that provides the best balance between productivity and fuel consumption through to the Power mode that provides high productivity.
