New exhibitors at Executive Hire Show (EHS)

The UK's Executive Hire Show (EHS) returns to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 9-10 February next year with some significant new exhibitors, including Volvo, Bomag and Niftylift.

Organisers says the event is now 95% booked, having attracted almost 100 exhibitors so far, including 20 debutants.

Robert Aplin, director of the show, said; "A particular attraction for all hirers in February will be the increasing number of plant manufacturers and suppliers at the Show. Over its short life to date, the show has mirrored the real world of hire as companies have stopped hiring ‘commodity' products and turned to powered machines that offer a better rate of return.

"We are pleased to welcome ‘blue chip' suppliers Bomag, Niftylift and Vovo, each of which will showcase innovative products for hirers to see for the first time."

Volvo will showcase its new EC15C and EC20C mini-excavators. Volvo's marketing services manager, Mark Gunns, said, "We decided to try the Executive Hire Show to promote our new compact excavator range, which would suit the bigger end of the hire market, also to show our DD14S double drum compactor asphalt roller."

Bomag promises a ‘world premiere' at the show and will also exhibit its BVP 10/36 single direction plate, the new BT 60/4 Honda engine tamper and the BMP 8500 articulated trench compactor.

Also new to the show is Shindaiwa, the new UK company that is selling the welders/generators made by its Japanese parent company Shindaiwa. Company director, Andy Munford, said the units are "The quietest and most eco-friendly range of welder/generators available in the UK." The 165-UK is silenced to 90 Lwa and will weld with 2-4 mm electrodes. It produces 2.5kVA 110V auxiliary power, with Eco mode as standard.

Also showing new machines will be Zarges, Niftylift, storage tank manufacturers Turners Fabrications, and grinding, cutting and drilling specialist Tyrolit UK. JCB will showcase products aimed at tool and small plant hirers.
