Liebherr Container Cranes will supply two ship to shore container cranes to Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal in Australia.

The ship to shore cranes have an outreach of 50 metres and a safe working load of 65 tonnes under twin lift spreader and 80 tonnes under hook beam. Maximum lift height is 38 m, span is 25.3 m and back reach is 20 m.

Peter Cheers, Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal general manager, said, “We conducted rigorous supplier evaluations as part of our procurement process and assessed this in-line with our long-run planning for the terminal. The post-panamax Liebherr cranes were the best match for our requirements and will allow us to maximise the flow-on benefits for our customers.”

The contract for the two cranes is part of a 30 year plan to increase service levels at the Port Adelaide Terminal, a company spokesperson said.
