New show for truck bodybuilding industry

The organiser of the GIS aerial platform and cranes exhibition in Italy is to hold a new event focused on the commercial truck customisations industry, covering products such as truck-mounted cranes and aerial work platforms.

The TCUBE show - organised by Mediapoint & Exhibitions and being held in Piacenza, Italy on 17-19 October 2024 - will spotlight Europe’s truck bodybuilding industry, with exhibitors including suppliers of truck-mounted cranes, truck-mounted work platforms and low loader trailers for construction and access.

“Feedback from participants at our existing events, like GIS, has been overwhelmingly positive regarding the value of a niche and sector-specific focus”, said Fabio Potestà, director of Genoa-based Mediapoint & Exhibitions.

“This enthusiastic response directly informed our decision to launch TCUBE and provide the truck bodybuilding industry with its own dedicated platform.”

The show is targeted at vehicle end-users, from small business owners to large fleet managers.

“Bodybuilding is a collaborative effort between truck manufacturers, bodybuilders, and end-users”, said Potestà, “That’s why a highly targeted event like TCUBE is so important to help make introductions and facilitate discussions to ensure the final product perfectly aligns with its intended purpose.”

Potestà added; “Italy has a rich heritage in metal working and design and Italian bodybuilders are known for delivering not only on the aesthetics but also on quality. The industry here is at the forefront of using lightweight yet strong materials, such as aluminium and composites, to improve fuel efficiency and payload capacity.

“We are also seeing increasing use of electric truck chassis with a variety of customised bodies, showcasing Italy’s commitment to sustainable transport solutions.”

The event will include a conference programme, with themes to include the sustainability of the road transport industry; the technological update of vehicles, equipment, and components; and the most recent regulations in Italy and the EU.
