New UK dealer for Goldhofer

Goldhofer STEPSTAR semi-trailer

Gemany-based trailer manufacturer Goldhofer has appointed rental company Specialist Trailer Hire (STH) as its new distribution partner in the UK.

Based in England and first established in the 1960s, STH provides rental, sales and maintenance services across the country.

The family-run business operates from depots in Leeds and Rotherham, and has clients that include Tata Steel, Royal Mail, XPO Logistics, DHL and Aldi.

Robert Steinhauser, director of sales Europe and Africa at Goldhofer, said, “With STH, we now have a strong partner in a great central location with a proven track record in terms of technical know-how and many years of experience in the industry.

“This guarantees renters and owners of Goldhofer transport systems full and fast professional service, including training, in the UK.”

Alongside its appointment, STH has added 16 of the manufacturer’s Stepstar semi-trailers to its rental fleet. The new low-loaders include six 3-axle non-extending plant trailers with a two-piece hydraulic ramp.

Suitable for the transport of self propelled loads and other types of cargo, the model is available with tyre size and frame options in the 30 to 40 tonne payload range.

Mark Liversidge, STH director, said, “With Goldhofer, we now have a partner with global experience at our side and top-quality, cost-effective transport solutions in our portfolio.

“This enables us to deliver reliability, flexibility and long service life on attractive terms. And that is precisely what our customers are looking for.”
